Construction and testing of the one of the most-advanced offshore data centre facilities is now complete, and the Isle of Man Dataport is open for business according to Netcetera, Europe’s leading web hosting company. Isle of Man, British Isles May 1, 2007 — Construction and testing of the one of the most-advanced offshore data centre facilities is now complete, and the Isle of Man Dataport is open for business according to Netcetera, Europe’s leading web hosting company. The facility will allow certain internet-based companies to realise up to 47.5 per cent total tax savings on profits by hosting in the Isle of Man.

The Dataport represents a £10 million investment and is Netcetera’s first data centre to be located offshore, an addition to the three London-based data centres the company already operates.
